With years of experience behind us as dog owners, dog walking and caring for pets, we run The Dog Bus more as a passion than business. We don’t just look after dogs, we get to know each dog individually and build relationships with that dog. This builds trust, association and confidence in the dog.
We carefully select who we take on board The Dog Bus to ensure your beloved is not being walked with dogs who have aggression problems. If your dog suffers from aggression issues we are still happy to walk, but only on a solo basis and not as part of the dog bus.
We are full members of the National Association of Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers. This gives us access to up to date information and resources on all aspects of pet sitting and dog walking.
We are fully insured by Pet Business Insurance as a dog walkers and a dog day care business. This covers Public Liability, loss of keys, care custody and control (liability to animals). Separately all our vehicles are fully insured to transport pets . Check out our blog post on general and transport insurance to see how many dog walkers think they are insured, but are not.
John holds an iMDT training certificate so we can help train your dog. We especially help in recall, heel, sit, down and other basic commands that make your and our lives easier. Kayleigh has a Bachelor of Science Degree in ‘Applied Animal Behaviour & Training’
We are Animal First Aid trained and The Dog Bus carries fully stocked first aid kits at all times as does the depot. All new staff undertake first aid training.
We also constantly update our training so we stay on top of current first Aid Training
